Travel health

Stay safe and healthy abroad

If you are travelling abroad you may need to be vaccinated.  The Practice only offers the mandated NHS travel vaccines.  It is your responsibility to plan in advance of any travel you wish to take.

We cannot offer cholera vaccine at the Practice as we cannot source this vaccine from a supplier.

The following travel vaccines are available free on the NHS from your GP surgery:

It is important to make your vaccine appointment at least eight weeks before you travel so that the vaccines can be ordered. You may need a second appointment.  The Practice is unable to undertake emergency or urgent travel vaccinations – if you need vaccination quickly then it is your responsibility to arrange this, we are not mandated to do this.

Any other vaccines you require for travel will be a private service and you will need to find a provider that offers private travel clinics.
