To request a repeat prescription or raise a query about your medication
- Use the Evergreen Life app
- Use the askmyGP service on our website
- Use the NHS app – Please use this link to register
- Complete the right-hand section of your previous prescription form. Leave it with the surgery or send it to us by post
Repeat prescriptions will be processed within 72 hours. Your prescription will be sent electronically to your nominated pharmacy.
You can ask us to arrange for your prescription to be sent to the chemist of your choice. If you request this service, please allow the chemist 48 hours to make up your medication.
You may be asked to see a doctor or practice nurse before your next repeat prescription is due. This is so that your medication can be assessed and altered as necessary.
Your doctor or nurse will try to find the best way of making you better. You may not always be given medicine, as there are many other ways to treat you. Please do not expect a prescription on every visit.
What to do with old medicine
Take it to the pharmacy you got it from or bring it in to the surgery. Do not put it in your household bin or flush it down the toilet.
As qualified healthcare professionals, pharmacists can offer advice on minor illnesses such as:
- sore throats
- tummy trouble
- aches and pains
They can also advise on medicine that you can buy without a prescription.
Many pharmacies are open until late and at weekends. You do not need an appointment.
Most pharmacies have a private consultation room where you can discuss issues with pharmacy staff without being overheard.
